The West Australian Ballet boasts one of the state’s largest annual donor programs and several significant, long-standing partnerships with some of Australia’s most successful businesses.

Developing young artists is one of the most important goals of the company, and the Young Artist Scholarship gives aspiring dancers the opportunity to gain experience and develop their talent, stagecraft and repertoire.

We spoke with Patron of Private Giving Alexandra Burt, dancer and Young Artist Scholarship recipient Carina Roberts, Wesfarmers Arts Manager Helen Carroll and Artistic Director Aurelien Scannella about the importance of the program to the long-term sustainability of ballet, and why partnerships between the arts and donors, philanthropists and business are so important.
